Automating Broadcast graphics using Dataclay Templater
Originally had a staff of 5 over 3 weeks to create different full screens and animations for 750 compositions.
Designs set in Photoshop, and using live photoshop documents to populate After effects templates.
Automated the creation of individual compositions from spreadsheets and After effects and photoshop actions with a staff of 3 in a week.
Using Dataclay templater RIG and live google docs, was able to create, iterate, populate and render each individual item. Heaviest lifting was in reviewing screenshots for errors in formatting or text alignments.
These were used for on air promotions, and graphics, delivered via script to an Omneon and called using a Ross Switcher.
