Process of creating animated lower thirds

Ever wonder what it takes to create an animated lower third to be used as a template?

Heres a process video that I put together of one of the last projects I was just working on to create a couple lower thirds that can be adjusted on the fly in after effects.

Using expression controls on Null objects, Im able to quickly and easily change colors and fonts without having to dig into a mess of pre comps.  These are created in standard after effects, so they are able to be opened on any CC version and changed.  I’ve also created them as a Premiere Template, meaning if i just need to change out the names I can do that directly in Premiere without having to open After Effects at all.

If you would like to learn more about After Effects, or creating your own lower thirds animations, I am an Adobe Certified Instructor, and offer a number of classes through my site at www.StanislawRobertLuberda.com
